Wood Duck (Aix sponsa)


Female High-intensity Hauk Call: A loud oo-eek oo-eek... given by females, often after being flushed, and frequently at dawn or dusk. This call carries well for long distances and males react upon hearing it by swimming in the direction of the calling female (Armbruster 1982).
