Scarlet Tanager (Piranga olivacea)

Song: A series of 5-10 robin like phrases, with pauses between the series. The timing is similar to a robin but the quality is rougher and burrier. Each male has a repetoire of about 10 phrases that he combines in various ways.

Dawn Song: Similar to the normal song, but with shorter pauses between the series and with interspersed chip-burr calls (Kroodsma 2009).
