Canada Goose (Branta canadensis)


Canada Geese have a large repertoire of vocalizations. As many as 13 distinct calls have been cataloged.

Hissing: Given when fighting or threatening, the breath is exhaled with a hissing sound while the beak is held open and the tongue is elevated and extended (Palmer 1976).
